Gabriel Gomez

GABRIEL GOMEZ is a Clio award-winning director, producer, & entrepreneur born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was a prestigious member of Brooklyn Magazine's "30 Under 30" Class & was featured by The New York Times in August 2022 for their “Up Next” column.

Specializing in commercial & documentary, his work focuses on raw character, compelling compositions, and dynamic stories. He’s directed and produced projects for H&M, The North Face, CNN, NIKE, Discovery+, Columbia Records, Food Network, 300 Entertainment, Mom+Pop Records, TNT, The Guardian, Refinery29, Bon Appetít, and many more.

A self-proclaimed polymath, Gabriel’s sole intention with Crooked Letter is to continue to build a home for limitless creativity and diversified ambitions. With strong roots in theatre, acting, dance, skateboarding, and music—he aims to leverage his fervorous curiosity for the good of building valuable ideas with friends and creative collaborators.

Jeremy Allen White

Executive Producer

Native Brooklynite JEREMY ALLEN WHITE is an Emmy award winning actor & producer, known for his roles as Lip Gallagher in the Showtime comedy-drama series Shameless and as chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in FX's Emmy record-breaking comedy/drama series The Bear.

For the latter, the role has won him an Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

White has also appeared in the Amazon Prime Video thriller series Homecoming and in films such as Afterschool, Twelve, Bad Turn Worse, After Everything, The Rental, Fremont, and the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.


Lev Pakman

Executive Producer / Director

LEV PAKMAN was born and raised in New York City . He attended Fiorello H . Laguardia High School and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts . As a writer/director, his short films have earned multiple Vimeo Staff Picks and played at festivals worldwide including Palm Springs Shortfest, Hamptons International Film Festival, and Sarasota Film Festival .

His feature-length screenplay Mouthpiece, co-written with playwright Francisca Da Silveira, was shortlisted for the 2020 Sundance Screenwriters Lab .

Lev is repped as a commercial director by the Sharon Horgan-founded production company Merman, where he has directed commercials for brands like GEICO, Samsung, Kraft Heinz, T-Mobile, Nathan’s Famous, The Glenlivet, Ajinomoto, and Captain Morgan in collaboration with globally recognized ad agencies like R/GA, BBH, Edelman, 72andSunny, GUT, Wunderman+, Evoke Group, Bloomberg Studios, The Martin Agency, and Anomaly .

Lev recently completed post-production on Deal of a Lifetime, a short film he wrote and directed starring David Cross


Michelle Leung

Producer

MICHELLE LEUNG is a New York-based filmmaker and producer whose work spans across hard-hitting documentaries and investigative video journalism to multi-million dollar ad campaigns, music videos, branded series, and more. When she’s not in the field or on set, she’s doing development work for brands and platforms to create authentic, story-driven programming. Her past clients include Estee Lauder, Afterpay, Laneige, Neste, KPMG, and more.

She’s been a producer with Crooked Letter since 2022 where she oversees all major campaigns and development projects. Here she’s managed multiple campaigns for On Running with talent such as Zendaya, Omar Apollo, and L’Rain.

Previously, Michelle worked on the emmy-award-winning HBO series Axios on HBO where she produced high-level interviews with key politicians and industry leaders including Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, former Director of NIAID Anthony Fauci, Reddit CEO, Steve Huffman, and World Bank President, David Malpass.

Her work has also appeared on Vice, PBS Newshour, Rolling Stone, AJ+, Discovery+, Russia Insider and more. In 2022, she produced a feature documentary film, The Surge at Mount Sinai, that won two Webby awards for best branded documentaries. In 2022, Michelle was selected as an emerging filmmaker in DOC NYC’s Storytelling Incubator program.


Onjoli Martelly

Development Producer

ONJOLI MARTELLY is a seasoned producer based in Brooklyn, New York, specializing in producing and developing unscripted variety talk and docu-series formats. Her impressive portfolio includes producing credits on acclaimed shows such as Desus & Mero (Showtime), My Next Guest with David Letterman (Netflix), The Rundown with Robin Thede (BET), The Break with Michelle Wolf (Netflix), Pause with Sam Jay (Max), and Spotlights: A Short Film Anthology Series (Showtime).


Before joining Crooked Letter, Onjoli honed her skills in development at Jax Media and Boardwalk Pictures. She is dedicated to creating authentic, informative, and entertaining content, while actively promoting new and diverse talent within the industry.


Alice Plati

Photographer/Cinematographer

ALICE PLATI is an international photographer and filmmaker based in New York. Her versatility as an artist has given her the chance to wear many hats, however she specializes in portrait photography, music videos, and short-form commercial documentaries.

Selected clients include: Adore Me, Adidas, Bon Appétit, The Brooklyn Museum, Dr. Martens, FILA, Footlocker, Jagermeister, JBL, Nike, The North Face, Olay, ON, Rolling Stone, Vogue.

She completed and premiered her first full length feature documentary It Happened Like This as co-director, co-dp, and co-editor alongside her main collaborator Gabriel Gomez. The film had its sold-out world premiere at acclaimed Brooklyn venue National Sawdust in 2022.

Born and raised in New York City, Alice’s devotion to visual arts bloomed in high school when she started documenting her friends with a 35mm analog camera. Her attraction to the physicality of camera operating stems from her background as a competitive gymnast and a black-belt in mixed martial arts. The commitment to being a full-time athlete translated naturally into her work ethic as an image-maker.


Jonny kapps

Director/Cinematographer

JONNY KAPPS is an award winning film maker based in New York City. Motivated chiefly from a restless curiosity and an inquisitive drive, his stories aim to bring the human condition into a cinema space. Tone, light and tempo combined with an ear-to-the-ground approach, Jonny strives to deliver a version of storytelling that bursts with authenticity and aesthetics. 

His creative aptitude has technical backbone as he often joins the camera team offering the precise intimacy of a director as well as the balance between beauty, detail and narrative.

Jonny recently completed a feature length documentary titled “The Surge at Mount Sinai”. Streaming on Discovery+, this film focuses in on three health care workers as they navigate the trauma of the peak months of the Covid 19 pandemic. Additionally, his clients include HBO, Disney, National Geographic, Vice, Nike, Google, Amazon, Marvel, Food Network, Red Bull and more.
